Norms

For those objects for which data on fuel is not sent, but it is necessary to track fuel consumption, it is possible to specify the normal consumption of the car. Such an expense is calculated by the system when generating reports in which it is possible to display consumption readings according to the norm.

Usually, information about the normal consumption is taken from the PTS or according to the on-board computer of the car.

In order to specify the consumption according to the norm, you need to go to the "Norms" tab. To do this, select the object of interest in the monitoring system and click the "Edit" button:

After that, the object editing window will open, in which the "Norms" tab is located:

This tab is used to set target values for the following monitoring indicators:

  • Current mileage, km. - the real value from the odometer is indicated in the field, then every 15 minutes it starts the calculation of the vehicle mileage and it is added to the value indicated in the cell
  • Mileage calculation - the parameter determines the method of mileage calculation: based on GPS data or based on a mileage sensor.
  • Mileage coefficient - the value by which the data is multiplied in the mileage calculated from GPS data. For the mileage calculated by the mileage sensor, this parameter is disabled.
  • Engine hours - just like for the previous parameter, the last known value is indicated, then the system starts the calculation of engine hours every 15 minutes and sums it up with the existing value
  • Normal consumption per 100 km, l. - used to calculate the vehicle consumption at a rate relative to the distance traveled
  • Normal consumption per engine hour, l. - used to calculate the vehicle consumption at the rate relative to the calculated values of engine hours
  • Normal consumption at idle, l / h. - used to calculate the vehicle consumption according to the norm during idle time of the vehicle with the engine running
  • Seasonal consumption, l - replaces the value of the normal consumption in the specified period of time. It is used, most often, to indicate normal consumption in winter.

Consumption can be calculated in terms of mileage per 100 km, as well as in terms of engine hours, which helps to take into account the work of special municipal, construction or other equipment, where it is not the actual mileage that is important, but the operation of the engine.

Guideline values can then be included in reports for comparison with actual data. In particular, the work on motor hours is reflected in such reports as Flights , Fuel and Geoobjects.

Example

Let's show the calculation of normal consumption using the Flights report as an example.

Let's take an object without a fuel level sensor and indicate in the norms that the normal consumption per 100 km is 33 liters, and the normal consumption at idle is 5 l / h.

Then let's build the Flights report, and take a look at its results:

We see that the consumption was calculated according to the norm in the columns Consumption, l / 100km and Consumption according to the norm. Idling, l / h .

The value in the Consumption column , l/100km was calculated as the Mileage value divided by 100 and multiplied by the value indicated in the normal consumption per hundred km, we get: 191.01 / 100 * 33 = 63.03 l - this estimated amount of fuel was spent at normal consumption on this transport.

Values in the column Consumption according to the norm. Idling, l / h is calculated as the value of idling, translated into seconds, divided by 3600 (1 hour in seconds) and multiplied by the value of the normal idle flow, we get: 1282 / 3600 * 5 = 1.78 - this is the estimated number fuel was consumed at normal idling consumption on this vehicle.

Normal consumption per engine hour works similarly to normal consumption at idle, only engine hours are not taken, but engine hours.

And when specifying a seasonal consumption, if the report is built for the specified season, then the value for calculating the normal consumption is taken from the Seasonal consumption, l field.

We also remind you that in order for data on the time spent at idle to appear, it is necessary to create an ignition sensor in the object. Creating and configuring an ignition sensor is presented in the articles  Sensors  and  Setting the ignition by voltage .
