A field is a piece of land that is used for agricultural purposes.

Within the framework of the system, "Field" is a special case of a geo object, therefore it has all its characteristics: name, contour type, contour, area, etc. Agricultural purposes or purpose, what actually distinguishes a field from a geoobject, is determined by the year of harvest, crop rotation, annual planning, operational planning, as well as the possibility of accounting for actual work in the fields.

To create fields, go to the appropriate section and click on the icon in the fields tree:image-20230221223127-1.png

After clicking on the icon, a section with settings for creating fields will be available, tools for managing the drawn figure on the map will appear on the map.

In the field creation settings, you can specify:

  • Field name
  • Subdivision
  • total area
  • General perimeter
  • The beginning and end of the harvest year is the period of work on the field.
  • Field display settings on the map: border thickness and color, fill color of the field shape, as well as the zoom level from which the field will be displayed on the map.

Also, when switching to the field creation mode, tools for editing the shape on the map will be displayed in the upper left part of the map area:

This tool allows you to “cut out” an area inside the field, it is useful if there is an object on the field that interferes with the processing of the field, or there is an area in the field that does not need to be processed.

Once created, the field outlines can be seen on the map. In order to receive data on the activity of machinery within these contours, it is necessary to indicate the boundaries of the crop year through the opening / closing of the crop year of the field / fields. The creation of the structure of sown areas occurs through the assignment of crops to fields. To do this, you must have a completed directory of crops and culture technologies.

Crops can be assigned manually through the Annual Planning form. Annual Planning can be created for several fields by selecting them with checkboxes and clicking on the icon on the toolbar. You can also quickly create an annual plan for an individual field by clicking on the icon in the row of the field tree. Cultures can also be assigned via import:

After all these actions, the user of the system has a loaded list of fields, a crop is indicated for each field, a crop year is opened, and the calculation of equipment activity is started. The system "Agrotechnology" is ready for the analysis of ongoing work.

Filters

The display of fields in the tree depends on a set of filters:

1. Field visiting filter - displays fields that were visited during a specified period of time.

The button "Annual planning" allows you to go directly to the annual planning.

If one field is selected, the annual plan card for that field will simply open. In the case of a group operation (more than one field selected), all selected fields must not have an annual plan, otherwise this will result in an error.
